United States,
Hello stranger!

Help us Make The World Happy!

Make The World Happy is a unique online experiment which aims to gather interesting data about levels of happiness around the world.

In recent months we've all seen news stories and statistics about stock markets crashing, currencies fluctuating and house prices dropping.

But with your help we want to uncover a much more interesting and useful set of statistics - how does happiness around the world vary day by day, month by month and year by year?

Are people in one country more happy than another?

Are people of a particular gender or age range happier or unhappier than the rest of us?

And what factors influence people's happiness? Money? Relationships? The weather???

These are the things we'd love to find out, but we can only do it with your help.

So how can I help?

We need as many people as possible around the world to tell us how happy they're feeling. All it takes is one quick click on our website.

If we can get enough people to make the data meaningful, we should be able to start to examine the kind of issues mentioned above.

Our long-term aim is that we can use the data to find ways to improve levels of happiness for everyone around the world.

That might be a fanciful idea but it's a nice thought, and we'll never know unless we try!

That's all very well, but what do I get out of it?

On a more personal level, the site can also help you keep track of your own individual happiness.

You can see how your happiness levels compare with the rest of the world, and the other people in your country.

Soon, you'll also be able to see all kinds of other stats - how does your happiness compare to other people of your age? Are people born on a certain day, or a certain month, more happy?

So please, click one of the icons on our front page today and tell us how happy you are.

And tell your friends to do the same. If they tell their friends, and their friends tell even more people... before long we could have some very interesting things to tell everyone.

Thanks for your help!
